چکیده

Abstract We investigated the integration of transient liquid-assisted growth (TLAG) approach for epitaxial YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7− x (YBCO) films by physical deposition methodologies (pulsed laser (PLD)), as an additional opportunity high-throughput YBCO. As a prerequisite, highly flat and amorphous YBCO precursor were deposited PLD at temperatures below 400 °C on single-crystalline SrTiO (STO) LaMnO (LMO)/STO, well industrial coated conductor architectures. Contrary to TLAG based chemical solution deposition, where BaCO elimination is key factor growth, TLAG-PLD controlled transformation Ba–Cu–O (s) liquid. High-quality c -axis successfully grown different substrates, demonstrated high-resolution x-ray diffraction transmission electron microscopy. In-situ resistance measurements revealed that rates around 1000 nm s −1 can be achieved, outperforming capabilities standard REBa 7 few orders magnitude. Experimental conditions such temperature, oxygen partial pressure, heating ramp, optimized obtain critical temperature ( T ) values up 90 K. Critical current densities 15 MA cm −2 5 K 1.7 77 obtained 450 LMO/STO.

Pulsed laser deposition vs. matrix assisted pulsed laser evaporation for growth of biodegradable polymer thin films

Thin films of poly (lactide-co-glycolide) (PLGA), a biodegradable polymer, were deposited on Si wafers by both conventional pulsed laser deposition (PLD) and matrix assisted pulsed laser evaporation (MAPLE) using chloroform (CHCl3) as a matrix solvent. This research represents an initial study to investigate the deposition characteristics of each technique at comparable conditions to gain insig...

Growth of superconducting (Hg,Re)Ba2CaCu2Oy thin films on Ag by pulsed laser deposition

(Hg,Re)Ba2CaCu2Oy thin films have been fabricated on Ag by reacting laser deposited ReBaCaCuO precursor films with CaHgO2 in sealed quartz tubes. The as-prepared films exhibit excellent phase purity and c-axis texture, characterized by an onset superconducting transition temperature (Tc) of 124 K. The microstructures of the films examined by environmental scanning electron microscope revealed H...

In-situ growth of superconducting SmO1−xFxFeAs thin films by pulsed laser deposition

Oxypnictide thin film growth by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) is one of many insufficiently resolved issues in the research of iron-based superconductors. Here we report on the successful realization of superconducting SmO1-xFxFeAs oxypnictide thin film growth by in-situ PLD on CaF2 (fluorite) substrates. CaF2 acts as fluorine supplier by diffusion and thus enables superconducting oxypnictide t...
